We recognize that for our partners to thrive, they require more than financial support. Beyond basic grant-making, The Bodhi Foundation supports capacity building for the organizations with whom we work by providing Collaborative Consulting and offering our Professional Development Program to grantees.

"All men can see these tactics whereby I conquer, but what none can see is the strategy out of which victory is evolved."
-Sun Tzu

When appropriate, The Bodhi Foundation provides moderate levels of hands-on technical assistance, guidance, and strategy consulting to grantees.

Technical Assistance invites partner organizations to go through a formal needs assessment and discovery process with the foundation. Assistance is meant to provide the space for grantees to step back and thoughtfully refine strategy, reflecting on any barriers to the success and maturity of a specific program or the organization as a whole.

“To be aware of a single shortcoming within oneself is more useful than to be aware of a thousand in somebody else”
- The Dali Lama

In order help organizations reach capacity, we believe that leadership and staff need the space and resources to develop themselves and to grow professionally. The Bodhi Foundation’s Professional Development Program is an opportunity for grantees to develop internal capacity and take advantage of professional development opportunities that further ability to carry out the organization’s mission.

The Bodhi Foundation recognizes the high value of quality professional development opportunities for organizations leaders and their staff. Generally, we have noticed working with grantees and within organizations, most organizations have a shortage of funds, connections, and ‘space’ (or ‘bandwidth’) to participate in professional development activities, therefore the foundation aims to create the support – financially and through connections – to enable and sponsor these efforts.

Grantee organizations are awarded sponsorship of professional development opportunities. Which may include grantee staff attending:

  • Trainings & Seminars
  • Professional Conferences
  • Executive Coaching
